MMI codes, T-Life app method, troubleshooting, and how to connect your Katch AI number in 60 seconds.
Quick Answer
Dial **67*[10-digit number]# for busy forwarding and **61*[number]# for no-answer. Or use T-Life app → Account → Line Settings → Call Forwarding.
Sign up for Katch and get your forwarding number
Join the waitlist, download Katch, sign up with your T-Mobile number. You'll receive a unique Katch AI number to forward to.
Open your phone dialer
Dial the forwarding code and press call
Press the green call button. Wait for confirmation.
Test it
Have someone call your number while you're on another call. Katch should answer and send you a summary.
Scam Shield blocking Katch calls
Open T-Life app → Scam Shield → add your Katch number to the allowed list so Scam Shield doesn't intercept forwarded calls.
##002# not cancelling
Try ##004# as an alternative cancel code for T-Mobile unconditional forwarding.
T-Mobile prepaid plans
Most T-Mobile prepaid plans support call forwarding. Check my.t-mobile.com under your plan details or call 611.
No confirmation tone after dialling
T-Mobile sometimes gives a silent confirmation. Test by having someone call you while you're on another call.
Cancel all forwarding:
Yes, but only a little. On iPhone, the built-in menu under Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding usually controls unconditional forwarding only. That means every call can be sent away, which is not what most Katch users want. If you only want Katch to answer when you miss a call, when you do not pick up, or when you are already on another call, use T-Mobile's dial codes instead. For no-answer forwarding, dial **61*+1[number]#. For busy forwarding, use the matching busy code, or set it in the T-Life app.
On Android, many phones expose more forwarding options in the phone settings. A common path is Phone app → Menu → Settings → Supplementary services → Call forwarding → When unanswered. On Samsung, it is often Phone → More → Settings → More settings → Call forwarding. Menus vary by model, carrier firmware, and Android version, so if a menu is missing, the dial codes still work. The key T-Mobile detail is that every MMI code starts with a double asterisk. A single asterisk will fail silently on most T-Mobile handsets, so always enter ** at the start.
Tip: dial *#61# to check the current no-answer forwarding number before you test.
For the best Katch coverage, set no-answer, busy, and unreachable to the same Katch number so missed calls route the same way in every common case.
Scam Shield auto-blocking
T-Mobile Scam Shield can intercept forwarded Katch calls before they finish routing. Fix: open the T-Life app → Scam Shield → Contact list, then add your Katch number as a known contact.
DIGITS users
If you use T-Mobile DIGITS with multiple numbers on one SIM, call forwarding usually applies only to the primary line. Disable DIGITS before setting up forwarding on secondary lines, then test each line one by one.
##002# silent confirmation
T-Mobile sometimes gives no audio confirmation after ##002#. Verify cancellation with *#002# to confirm the forwarding status instead of assuming the command failed.
Verified with T-Mobile support documentation, July 2026. Double-asterisk (**) codes confirmed on Magenta, Go5G, and most prepaid plans.
