MMI codes, myAT&T app method, troubleshooting, and how to connect your Katch AI number in 60 seconds.
Quick Answer
Dial *67*[10-digit number]# for busy forwarding, *61*[number]# for no-answer. Or use myAT&T app → More → Features → Call Forwarding.
Sign up for Katch and get your forwarding number
Join the waitlist, download Katch, sign up with your AT&T number. You'll receive a unique Katch AI number to forward to.
Open your phone dialer
Dial the forwarding code and press call
Press the green call button. Wait for confirmation.
Test it
Have someone call your number while you're on another call. Katch should answer and send you a summary.
ActiveArmor blocking Katch
Open AT&T ActiveArmor → Allow List → add your Katch number so spam filters don't block forwarded calls.
AT&T Prepaid restrictions
AT&T Prepaid restricts call forwarding. Use a postpaid plan or call 611 to enable it. FirstNet plans support forwarding.
Calls going to AT&T voicemail instead of Katch
Disable AT&T's native voicemail first: call 611 and request voicemail deactivation. Then set up call forwarding to Katch.
Error on *21* code
Try the myAT&T app method instead. Some AT&T plans require app-based configuration rather than MMI codes.
Cancel all forwarding:
If you skip the country code, AT&T may accept the code but still leave calls going to native voicemail. Double-check the full Katch number before you press call.
It also helps to copy your Katch number into Notes first so you can compare digits one by one before you dial. Most failed setups come from one missing number, forgetting +1, or using the cancel code by mistake after the setup code.
Yes, but mostly for where the controls appear. On iPhone, go to Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding. That switch only handles unconditional forwarding, which means every call goes to the same number. If you want Katch only when you do not answer or when you are already on a call, use the AT&T MMI codes instead, or open the myAT&T app and set conditional forwarding there.
On Android, many phones expose carrier forwarding menus inside the Phone app. A common path is Phone → 3-dot menu → Settings → Supplementary services → Call forwarding → When unanswered, then enter your Katch number with +1. Samsung One UI often uses Phone → More → Settings → Call → More settings → Call forwarding. If those menus are missing, AT&T still supports setup through the dial codes.
If the call still goes to AT&T voicemail, the forwarding code did not register. Check that the code ends with # and that you used +1 before the 10-digit Katch number.
Best setup for most people: turn on both no-answer and busy, both pointing to your Katch number. That catches missed calls without sending every live call away from your phone.
Add unreachable if you spend time in low-signal areas or keep your phone powered off during meetings. Save unconditional for vacations, focus blocks, or times when you want Katch to take every call from the first ring.
ActiveArmor may mark Katch as spam
Open the AT&T ActiveArmor app, go to Allow list, and add your Katch number. If Katch is filtered there, forwarded calls may never reach the AI.
AT&T Prepaid restrictions
Prepaid plans restrict call forwarding on many lines. If the code fails, move to postpaid or call 611 and ask AT&T to enable forwarding on the line.
FirstNet / AT&T Business lines
Business and FirstNet lines may ship with call forwarding disabled by default. Call AT&T Business at 1-800-331-0500 and ask them to enable CCF on the line before testing Katch.
Verified with AT&T support documentation, July 2026. Codes confirmed on AT&T postpaid. Cricket Wireless (AT&T network) uses identical codes.
